Outdoor Education
Outdoor Education for 5th
5th Grade students get their first glimpse into the world of the Redwoods right outside our own backyard during this week of outdoor education. Located in Loma Mar, Jones Gulch, is the camp where most Peninsula public school students have gone for outdoor education for over 40 years. This week long outdoor learning experience includes sleeping in cabins, learning about the redwood forest and our California coastline in the form of nature hikes, an educational beach trip, banana slugs and more. This week long field trip is partially supported financially by the Clifford PTO.
Outdoor Education for 7th
Every year our 7th grade students look forward to the week where they will travel up north to Westminster woods for a week of outdoor education. This outdoor education program is aligned with Next Generation Science Standards while teaching them about Watersheds, Redwood & Forest Ecology and Conservation. They also participate in team building & a High Ropes course, which help develop good character and promote leadership qualities. This week long field trip is partially supported financially by the Clifford PTO.
